It can be directly connected via a leased line or\ncan be used via a dialup line.\n\nNote that this version works ONLY via a terminal server (ie a Spider).\n\nIPMERC scans a directory and sends files to Mercury 7500. It also notes any\nreplies and these are sent back to the sender who may be on a remote editorial\nsystem.\n\nThe EasyLink address is EITHER the FIP header field DZ OR is the first line of\ntext.\n\nIPMERC uses a setup file, normally tables\/setup\/EASYLINK, to  get:\n\tattn:+++\t\t\t- attn string for the modem if dialup\n\treset:at&amp;fr\t\t\t- reset string for the modem if dialup\n\tinit:ate0&amp;d0r\t\t\t- initialisation string if dialup\n\tdial:atdt8781111r\t\t- dial string if dialup\n\tdisc:athr\t\t\t- disconnect string for the modem\n\tid:22 logon password.thirdr\t- EasyLink ID and logon string\n\nInput parameters are :\n\tMandatory :\n\t-s : spider\t\t\t\tdefault: none\n\t-p : port\t\t\t\tdefault: none\n\tOptional :\n\t-q : queue in spool\t\t\tdefault: spool\/2m7500\n\t-l : do NOT log items out\t\tdefault: log all files out\n\t-t : sleep time for queue scan\t\tdefault: 5 secs\n\t-m : this is a modem connection NOT Leased Line\tdefault: LL\n\t-z : setup filename\t\t\tdefault: tables\/setup\/M7500\n\t-v : print version no and exit\n\nNote that the destinations file, tables\/sys\/USERS, needs to have the following\nflags\/fields set :\n\tfor each fixed destination :\n\t\tgulfout=\tDP:fip2\t DQ:2m7500       DC:sun  DZ:19060005+\n\t\twhere fip2 is the sending Unixbox and DZ holds the called no.\nPlus if an error log is requred on another system (such as the Atex J11) this\nis called m7500log is the ErrorLog\/MercMsgNo file log.\n  \t\tm7500log=       DP:edone6       DQ:dennis-usr   DC:atex  \n\t\twhere edone6 is the name of the J11\n\n(copyright) 2014 and previous years FingerPost Ltd.\n<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ipmerc IPMERC sends files to EasyLink public message service (also called Mercury 7500) for onward transmission to mailboxes on that network or to use other facilities that they offer.
